Would you believe it?
London is, according to tourists, the best place to travel on public transport, even if it is over priced.
I read this yesterday, then walked back through London to the station (a 20 min walk) and yes, there are a lot of options - loads of buses (not that I use them) and the underground is comprehensive and coupled with the trains going further afield, I think it is quite a good system. Yes, things run late, there are problems and cancellations, but with the amount of trains and buses, it's not surprising.
If we all used the public transport system more and fewer cars came into the city (the congestion charge isn't having a great enough effect in my mind) then it would improve further and probably work out cheaper.
