I stopped off here on a family day out last weekend. It's a nice pub with some good food but the location is the real selling point - a real short walk from the (stony) beach, a 20 minute drive from sandy beaches and right next to the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.
You really have to go there to get a sense of the scenery - it's very moody with the powerstations and lighthouse in the distance. Plus there's a lot of RSPB land around there so you can feel really 'in the wilderness' at times.
All in all, a decent pub in a great location. Good for the kids and good for a stop-off whilst exploring the coast.
