My wife and I went along on the Sunday and it was a great day out. For kids it's probably a bit overwhelming seeing the trains so close up, but they get over that pretty quickly.
It was a hot day and the train ride felt a bit aimless, but there was enough to see out of the windows to keep it interesting. The main station is really well done - all the staff are dressed up in character, there's lots of stuff to buy (of course) and a few bouncy castles for the kids as well as benches and seats everywhere.
And here's Thomas:

nearly two weeks on and he's still talking about Duck and Thomas and how we didn't go on Thomas because he was "having a long drink"..... very sweet. It's certainly something he's going to remember for a while. Every now and then he just says "Duck bump".... and that's it. It's great because it helps us know what he's thinking about - happy things!!!
